While corporations previously tended to claim they were on a journey towards sustainability, now they more often state that they have arrived. Corporations argue they have already integrated sustainability principles and that they have worked like this for years. Such arguments arguably inhibit the change in business models many commentators call for. This is the gist of the article called “Corporate Reports on Sustainability and Sustainable Development: ’We have arrived’” I have written together with Juliet Roper from Waikato University, New Zealand. While the article has been online since 2011, now it is finally published in a printed volume of Sustainable Development.
